Pick up at 0730hrs and drive north to Samburu National Reserve to arrive at around 1400 hours in time for lunch. After lunch proceed for an afternoon game drive in the park famous as the place for the Samburu semi-nomadic tribesmen, the reticulated giraffe, the Grevy’s Zebra Gerenuk,BeisaOryx and a host of the big game including elephant and lion. Dinner and overnight at Lodge
On this day,after breakfast you have an option of spending a full day at Samburu National park or just have early morning and evening game drives. The park covers 40 square miles (104 square kilometers). Ololokwe Table Mountain forms a dramatic backdrop to our game viewing. Samburu is also home to the third of Kenya’s giraffe species – the rare Reticulated Giraffe (only found in the Northern parks). This is also where you see the blue-legged Somali Ostrich, the long-necked Gerenuk gazelle and the straight-horned Beisa Oryx antelope. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Wake up to another adventurous early morning game drive and then return to the lodge for breakfast and check out. Drive to Nairobi to arrive around 1400 hours where your safari ends.

The Samburu National Reserve is a game reserve on the banks of the Ewaso Ng'iro river in Kenya. On the other side of the river is the Buffalo Springs National Reserve. The park is 165 km² in size and is situated 350 kilometers from Nairobi. It ranges in altitude from 800 to 1230m above sea level. Geographically, it is located in Samburu County.In the middle of the reserve, the Ewaso Ng'iro flows through doum palm groves and thick riverine forests. It provides water, without which the game in this arid region could not survive.
Sentrim Samburu Lodge is situated in Samburu National Reserve in Northern Kenya. The three National Reserves Samburu, Buffalo Springs and Shaba protect a large area along the seasonal Ewaso Nyiro River. Surrounded by interestingly shaped hills you will fall in love with this region. The semi arid acacia region is inhabited by Elephants, Buffaloes, Cheetahs,Lions and Leopards. In this region you find the Northern fauna representatives: Gerenuk, Grevy zebra, Reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich and over 400 bird species.
